Mobile access, notifications and approvals
Keep field teams, managers and customers connected to the work that needs attention without creating notification overload.
In this guide
Design for the moment of action
Mobile access is most valuable when a user needs to approve, update, check, capture or respond while away from a desk. Keep mobile workflows short and connect the action back to the full record.
Use responsive views for field work, appointments, inspections, deliveries, service calls and manager approvals.
Use notifications as a queue
A notification should make clear what happened, why it matters and what the recipient should do next. Route alerts to the role responsible for the action rather than broadcasting every event to every user.
Review noisy notifications and convert recurring patterns into a digest or a dashboard view.
Make approvals explicit
Approvals work best when the request contains the relevant amount, owner, due date, attachments and decision options. Record the outcome and escalate items that remain unreviewed.
Use AI to prepare summaries, but keep accountability with the person making the decision.
